A BIG job well done! We highly recommend Kris Bodchon to anyone that's looking for a dependable and honest contracter. Kris and his crew took on a big job that would take three months to complete. It was a 14x24 addition upper and lower level. In the lower level a full bath, utility and sauna room. In the upper, a master bedroom and bathroom, and upgrading an existing bathroom. We interviewed 9 contracters. Kris' quote came in the middle. It was easy to understand and he had 8 references for me to call and he also had a website. With everything looking positive, we decided to hire Kris. To be honest, we were a little nervous because of his age. But through the renovations he prooved to us that not only does he know how to make things run smoothly, organized, and keeping the work site clean and safe for our family, Kris and his crew were a fun group to be around. We lost three weeks due to bad weather and other complications, but Kris still managed to complete the project on time as he promised. We are two happy and satisfied customers and wouldn't think twice to hire Kris again for any future renovations.

To Whom It May Concern:

We have recently had extensive renovations to our basement from the cement blocks out by Kris Bodchon of Homestyle Renovations. From the very first instance, Kris has been professional in the highest degree. I sent him an e-mail requesting information on a Sunday morning and he called to book an appointment within two hours. He was out to look at the basement the next day, had his trades in the meet with my husband the following day and presented us with a quote the day after.

While Kris’ quote was not the lowest, it was also not the highest. We appreciated the added suggestions he made which made our renovation even better than we had thought. When it was discovered there was a leak in the basement, he had his waterproofing contractor in to assess the situation within hours. All of his trades were very professional and were here when we were told they would be here.

Our renovation decision was due to the fact that our daughter and her family are moving back to Windsor and will be living in the basement. As her bedroom was already there, it was a matter of building a room for the baby, renovating a living area for them and totally gutting and rebuilding the three piece bathroom. Kris was very helpful in the selection of the tile for the new bathroom and it turned out looking very elegant.

When the work was completed, everything was done from pot lights to painting. All we had to do was move the furniture. Kris even installed two baby gates at the stairs and baby-proofed all electric sockets. Just the extra touch which shows he cares.

I would not hesitate to recommend Kris and his company to anyone looking to renovate and will call him again when we need any further renovations done to our home.

I would like to recommend Kris Bodchon of Homestyle Renovations highly. He has completely renovated my kitchen to my present dream kitchen.

It was really a fluke that I spotted an ad for him in our local paper and called him. I, quite honestly, was leary about him due to his youthful sounding voice and even asked him on our initial phone call how old he was and was quite concerned about his experience etc.. He showed up when he said he would and gave me his honest opinion about things and said he would drop by the next day with an estimate of what the costs would be. He seemed to be very honest and understanding of what I wanted done.

In the mean time I had other contractors come in and not one of them satisfied me with their plans and suggestions. Kris’s quote was middle of the road price range and has proven to be an excellent choice. He has shown up every day he said he would be here and his “tribe” of workers and skilled laborers have all been neat and clean and polite.

Kris Bodchon has proven to be an excellent choice. I have been more than satisfied with his work, He has done major work in my kitchen - take out all walls and ceiling and floor and replaced all. Had new cupboards installed and granite counter tops. He has supervised and done himself much of the labour and in a very timely manner.

We are so very glad that we chose Kris and his team for our bathroom renovation. We were initially impressed with how quickly Kris responded to our request for a quote. I had emailed the request, and before I was even off of his website, the phone was ringing. He was careful in making sure to bring his plumber with him for the quotation, and the two of them spent a great deal of time going over every aspect of the renovation. We were impressed with the amount of thought that was taken just in preparing the quote.

Once the work began, we were very pleased with the level of care taken with the project. Kris worked extremely diligently, as carefully as if he were working on his own home. We were struck with how kind and quiet every member of the team was, and found everyone to be very tidy and considerate. We appreciate that Kris used a team of experts for every part of the renovation (i.e. plumber, electrician, heating/cooling, etc.) to ensure that everything was completed properly. Kris also respected the timeframe which he initially laid out for us.

We are extremely pleased with the quality of Homestyle's work. Everything looks fantastic, and the job was performed in a professional and tidy manner. We would absolutely use this company again, and can't thank them enough for the wonderful work they did!

I write this with high regards & recommendations of Homestyle Renovations as a company to use for your next home renovations.

For me, this was a third major contracted project, including the building of my home, that I required the service of a contractor. My experiences with my first two contractors had been from ‘Minimally Satisfactory’ to a ‘Serious Nightmare’. Needless to say, I was prepared for this venture.

I asked six different contractors to quote, three of which did not even come to my home but simply assumed they knew what I wanted; knew what my space looked like; and determined their price as such.

One contracted came to my home; told me he was a perfectionist only to contradict himself during the same conversation and say “well; you know it can’t be perfect!”. His price was unreasonably high for such lack of “perfection”.

Another contractor who visited had some great ideas of how HE wanted my renovation to look … my ideas didn’t matter.

Then I opened the PennySaver one night and saw an ad for a company I had never heard of, Homestyle Renovations … AND he was a member of the Better Business Bureau. I phoned to make an appointment and it was scheduled for the very next morning!

This was the day I met Kris Bodchon of Homestyle Renovations. This young man displayed a greater level of experience, creative intuition, and ability to visualize MY ideas than any of the other more well-known contractors.

Kris’ input allowed me to use my ideas and grow them into something even better through his suggestions and expertise! Throughout the whole project, I was kept abreast of the progress; involved in any changes that were required due to the existing construction of my home; as well as provided with the respective options to ensure my satisfaction.

The workers were always respectful and more importantly PROMPT. When Kris said that a tradesman would be here at a certain time, he was here at that time. The work area was always kept quite tidy & safe considering all the work being done. And the renovated area was totally cleaned for the final presentation.

Kris’ quote for the renovation was on the median of the six quotes I received, so his price was reasonable. His leadtime was quoted at 13 weeks BUT he completed the job in just 9 weeks!

Hiring Kris Bodchon of Homestyle Renovations for my renovation was an Excellent Choice of Contractors and I will certainly call him again for any future renovations! When it comes to local contractors, he is certainly One of A Kind!
